Selah — Privacy Policy
Selah is a prayer and meditation app that works without an account. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
No account, no login
Selah does not ask for your name, email, or any sign-in. The app generates a random anonymous identifier on your device so your settings and history can be recognized between app opens. This identifier is stored only on your device, is never linked to your real identity, and is not shared with anyone.
What stays on your device
Your mood check-ins, journal notes, prayer/practice history, and streak are stored only in a local database on your device. Selah has no server, so this data is never transmitted anywhere, and we (the developer) never see it.
Backup
If you choose to back up your data, Selah creates a file on your device and hands it to your phone's normal share sheet, so you can save it to iCloud Drive, a file manager, or anywhere else you choose. We do not operate our own backup servers.
Local usage analytics
Selah keeps simple counts (app opens, sessions started/completed) entirely on your device to help us understand whether the app is useful. These counts never leave your device and never include your mood tags or journal text. There is no third-party analytics service integrated into this app.
No advertising or tracking
Selah does not include advertising or an advertising SDK. It does not request tracking permission, access device identifiers for tracking, or show a custom tracking-consent prompt. The developer does not collect data from the app.

Deleting your data
You can permanently erase everything Selah has stored about you at any time from Settings → Delete my data. This removes your local database and generates a fresh anonymous identifier. This action cannot be undone.
Children
Selah is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Since the app has no account system, we cannot notify you individually — please check this page periodically.
